The Workshop on optically pumped Magnetometers (WOPM) is an annually held conference covering topics related to OPM technology. This year’s event was planned to be a side-conference of the Biomag 2020. However, as an outcome of the current situation, both events have been postponed to 2021. In order to enable researchers to present their latest results, the organizing committee created the µWOPM as an online conference, which targeted mostly PhD students. The presentations were recorded and are now available on YouTube. The following three presentations were held by macQsimal researchers:
- Charikleia Troullinou, PhD student at ICFO in the research group Atomic Quantum Optics discussing “Sub-pT optical magnetometry with squeezed light.
- Riccardo Cipolletti, PhD student at Robert Bosch GmbH regarding “Numerical simulations of vapour cell gyroscopes”.
- Yongqi Shi, Postdoc in the group of Prof Treutlein at the University of Basel presenting “Towards a microwave field imager with ultrathin atomic vapour cells”.
